The Dora XC Teams are headed to Alton today for their 3rd meet of the season. Last week the students raced at Willow Springs where every one of the 12 runners set a new course record. The boys took 5:40 off their combined race time from the year prior and the girl took 5:15 off their combined race time from the year prior. These teams are on a mission to make an imprint on the State Competitions this year! You won't want to miss what's happening!
We are so blessed to have such a caring group of teachers throughout our school system. Our middle school ladies are celebrating Friday the 13th by turning their hallway into "spooky classrooms" and helping our students have alittle fun while learning.
Another great opportunity to wear your hat!

Missouri has been approved to administer Summer EBT 2024. This program is a dedication and commitment between the lead agency, the Department of Social Services (DSS), along with DESE. Summer EBT provides Missouri children who are eligible for free and reduced-price school meals the opportunity to receive critical nutrition benefits. Households who need to apply can submit the application online by August 31, 2024. Families can use the Missouri SuN Bucks Eligibility Navigator to see if they need to complete an application.

Families with children who meet the criteria will receive an EBT card by mail, or the benefit will be added to their existing EBT card. Criteria for automatic eligibility includes:
*The household already participates in SNAP or Temporary Assistance; including extended eligible household members, or
*The child is age 7-17 and in foster care, homeless, a migrant, or
*The child attends a school that offers the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Program and the household income meets the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals.

Join Mrs. Carroll's 4th grade class as they participate in this fun community service project.
We have a new afternoon snack program for our Pre-K through 6th grade students. This program is designed to encourage children to try new foods.
We had an awesome first day of school yesterday. All the students were excited to be back (some of them more than others). I had the opportunity to present Cade Nold with a plaque representing his 2 time champ times from the 2024 state track meet. Cade also set the state record for the fast 400 meter dash time in Missouri State 1A history. We are excited about the upcoming year and look forward to all of the great things ALL of our Dora students are going to do this coming year.
Just a reminder Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are due annually. Complete one application per household. Paper application available in school office or online at https://linqconnect.com/main (under schools and services)
