In art, the students have been learning about Charley Harper. Charley created non-realistic animals and insects out of geometric shapes and lines. The students' Harper inspired art turned out WONDERFUL just in time for winter break!

Today Mrs. Allen's second grade presented a readers theater to Mrs. Jarvis's kindergarten class. At the conclusion they made pumpkin pie in a cup and had a wonderful time .
The Creative Sewing class learned how to embroidery then used the sewing machine to sew a pillow sham! Good job girls!
Today, Second grade learned about the phases of the moon. What better way to demonstrate their new knowledge than making Oreo cookie moons.
The Nutrition class had fun preparing and eating Thanksgiving dinner! Good job kids...it was delicious!!
The last day of elementary after school tutoring, for first semester, will be this Thursday, November 18th. Tutoring will resume after winter break on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022.

FCCLA members attended the Region 9 meeting at the Civic Center in West Plains.

Last week in photography, the students learned about abstract photography. The students used droplets of water on a DVD to create their images. Enjoy!

Dora XC had a great day to run at the MSHSSA STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET. All three runners: Emma Martin (FR), Cade Nold (FR), and Autumn Nold (JR) ran good races. Emma ran a 22:53 in the top 1/3rd of all Class 1A State Qualifiers. Cade and Autumn were both awarded ALL STATE titles. Cade medaled 21st and made a new personal record of 17:47. Autumn placed 20th. She also made a new personal record of 21:40.

These Juniors and Seniors had an awesome time visiting Missouri State University-West Plains with Mrs. Menz today!
Red Carpet Day is always one of our favorite college visits. Students took a waking tour of campus, got to spend time with student ambassadors, attended an academic program fair and learned more about the unique things that MSU-WP has to offer.
