Welcome

We would like to welcome you to our web page. We have a lot of exciting projects going on at Dora R-III schools in the 2016-2017. We continue to update our technology to benefit our students. We have completed improving our softball facilities and our currently building a nice barn for our agriculture classes. A large portion of these projects were funded by donations of money and time. We are extremely proud of our school and this spring we will begin to build a storm shelter/ multi-purpose room which will benefit our students and our community.

Please stop by or call if you have any questions or concerns.

We Got Game

Our students have won some of the most coveted state awards in track and field competition. One of our students in 2016 took first place in state competition in both the 200 and 400 meter races and finished 3rd in the 100 meter dash. Another student took eighth place in the state high jump competition. It is only fitting that our students excel in cross country when we live in one of the most beautiful areas surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest. Last year we had seven to qualify for state competition. One of our students was all-state during all four years of high school here at Dora. Two of our golfers competed in sectional meets and one of those went on to compete on the state level. Our baseball team was the District Champ in 2015-16 and were ranked in the top 10 eight of the last nine years. We were the Class 1A State Champs in 2009. Our fast-pitch softball team won the district championship in four of the last five years and finished second in the 2014 State Championship. An elementary students placed fourth in the State Hoop Shot! We have a high school pep squad and dance team to cheer on our athletes. Opportunities are offered for both female and male athletes to excel in basketball beginning with our 4th-6th grade students, continuing on with our Junior High teams, and finishing with our junior and senior varsity teams. Our boys’ basketball team have been conference champions in eight of the past nine years. Our girls’ basketball team were district champs in 2010 and runners-up in both 2013 and 2014.
